9ct gold contains alloy metals alongside pure gold, which means it can naturally develop slight darkening, dullness, or a warmer patina over time — especially with exposure to air, moisture, skincare products, perfume, and everyday wear. This is completely normal and part of how jewellery ages. It can be restored by cleaning the jewellery with silver/gold polishing cloth.
